- 2 very ripe plantains
- ½ tbsp of oil
Instructions
- Wash and peel the plantains.
- Oil your baking tray.
- Halve the plantains and place them evenly spaced on the baking tray.
- Place on the second rack in the oven not too close to the fire.
- Bake on low heat for 30 minutes.
- Flip the plantains to the other side and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Turn off the oven and leave to cool a bit before serving.
Notes
- Oiling the baking tray properly is key to having well-baked plantain that doesn’t stick to the trays.
- Adding salt and seasonings after halving the plantain is a good way to make it flavourful.
